Decision: I ruled that in the case of written evidence of an error having been made in balloting, within thirty days following the meeting at which the error was made, the Worshipful Master could order a new ballot without the usual six-month waiting period.

83 Reinstatement for plural membership

No. 83. Reinstatement For Plural Membership

Decision: In case of a brother holding plural membership in two or more subordinate lodges and being dropped from membership for non-payment of dues (NPD) I ruled that upon his request to be reinstated he need not become reinstated in more than one lodge provided he paid the dues owing at the time of being dropped, to the lodge or lodges which had dropped him for NPD.

Decision: An applicant who is blind should not be disbarred from becoming a member nor be deprived from receiving the rites and benefits of Freemasonry provided he has proper character, mental capacity and financial ability.

No. 85. Honorary Titles From Other Jurisdictions

Decision: That an honorary title received by a member in this jurisdiction from another jurisdiction has no recognition in this jurisdiction and the member cannot be addressed by such a title. However, if a subordinate lodge or Grand Lodge wishes to print such an honorary title it must so state by printing the title and in parenthesis, the jurisdiction of origin.

Decision: A Masonic Memorial Service can be performed by a lodge for a member in good standing when the remains of the brother are to be cremated and those cremated remains (cremains) are to be scattered.

Decision: That any lodge of group of brethren must obtain dispensation from the Grand Master to participate in a parade.

89 Assistant Grand Lecturers

No. 89. Assistant Grand Lecturers

Decision: Upon the written recommendation of the Grand Lecturers with whom he has served and with the approval of the presiding Grand Master the title Right Worshipful be given to an Assistant Grand Lecturers who have served continuously as Assistant Grand Lecturers for three (3) years or more and shall bear this title thereafter, and shall always be Right Worshipful. In the event that one or more of the Grand Lecturers shall be deceased or incapacitated, their recommendations shall not be required.
